Judy Herrmann (Mysterious Woman V.O.)
After 40 years in the workaday world, I developed cancer and the chemotherapy used to successfully eradicate it, did havoc with my brain and I was forced to retire. I decided to try acting as a new profession and since 2010, I’ve had the time of my life. Films, music videos, commercials, PSAs, TV shows and voice over work have filled my weeks with excitement and joy. I’ve found my niche and will continue acting and recording forevermore. I volunteer with Learning Ally, recording books for ages one, all the way up through college. Textbooks and books read for pleasure are our task and they are offered, free of charge, to children and students with visual and/or learning disabilities. I use my home studio and appreciate being able to record any hour of the day or night. My five cats have learned to be very quiet when they come into the room, silently jumping on perches to look out the window or on a cushion to take a nap. It took them a while to realize that I couldn’t talk with them or pet them, while I was working, so the running in and playfully crashing into things, meowing songs to serenade me stopped, eventually.
